Local Campaigners Dominic Hannigan and Delme Greening are backing the pay it back campaign

Dominic Hannigan and Cardiff Lib Dems are backing residents calls for a number of sitting Labour councillors to

voluntarily repay tens of thousands of pounds of allowances paid "unlawfully" and "unreasonably" when Labour was running Cardiff Council.

The District Auditor financial watchdog has told the council to consider recovering the money, but taking the Labour councillors to court could cost taxpayers even more.

Cardiff South and Penarth campaigner Dominic Hannigan said, "Taxpayers' money was paid out unlawfully and

unreasonably. Labour should pay back the money voluntarily."
